Cruachan Power Station
Hydro-electric power station. Visitor centre and guided tours inside the mountain to the massive cavern which contains the turbines.
 
Open: Easter-October, 9.30am-5pm. Nov-mid Dec, Mon-Fri only, 10am-4pm. Feb-Mar, Mon-Fri only, 10am-4pm.
 
Directions: On the north bank of Loch Awe, 19 miles east of Oban on the A85, 6 miles west of Dalmally. Service bus stops on request. Rail halt is at Cruachan Halt.
